What’s this blog all about?

Welcome, Dear Reader! Welcome to Simbly Bored…

I’d love to have you spend more time here so here are a few ideas:

  • If you’re a fellow feminist who’s wandered over from another feminist forum, I suggest you head straight for the feminist stuff.
  • If you love reading as much as I do, may I point you to some of my book reviews?
  • If you’ve wandered here by mistake, why not try the random favourite widget in the sidebar or the best-of tag just to get a feel of things?
  • If you are like me and like all things weird and random, I suggest my weird category 🙂

As you can see, I write about a lot of different things. I write about things that happen in my life. I write about things that I think about. I share little snippets that I find interesting. I write a great deal about feminism, Indian women, Indian Culture, and life in India in general. Occasionally, I write about my political view or environmental issues (more likely than the former) but I usually reserve these topics for debate at the dinner table with my father or father-in-law.

I started blogging in 2005 and I recently read through my entire archives to group related posts and identify old favourites. 2005 was a long time ago and this blog has seen me/is seeing me through work, love, marriage, moving, grad school, pregnancy, and now motherhood. Phew! That’s a lot but it makes posts harder to categorize so I rely on tags instead. However, I’ll be the first to admit that personal blogs are easier to write than to read 🙂

Now that you’re here and you know who I am, please do leave a comment or two to help me know you better. They make my day. Really!

  1. This blog is all about keeping mum, secretly rejoicing or openly, when any woman makes a ‘false’ allegation against her MIL and complains to her husband in attempt to break away/souring his relationship with his family.

(Note: ‘False’ is the buzzword here)

    It doesn’t end here.

If any kind & loving husband is intelligent enough to realise the sinister motives of his manipulative wife, concealed behind her oh-so-innocent smile, and thus defends his innocent mother/parents/family from her attacks, call him names.

They are aplenty and I needn’t mention them there.

This is what this blog is all about. 🙂

    1. Err, I’m not sure I understand what you mean but I’ll leave this comment on anyway… Thanks for dropping by!
