Who is this Goddess Person Anyway?

Ah, I’m glad you asked. You see, my parents named me after not one but two Hindu Goddesses and when I call myself The Goddess, I’m just translating my name. Also, it’s a little like the Advaitic world view. I am me but I’m also The Goddess.

In real life, I’m a little moody, extremely talkative, my dad’s little princess, my father-in-law’s grown up princess, and the daughter my mother-in-law wishes she had. The only person who sees through it all and knows what a brat I really am is my mother. That’s because I look, think, and react a lot like her. The rest (the brat part) is pure maternal instinct.

The only thing I’m ever stressed about is missing trains and flights. I tend to leave late and then bite my nails all the way to the station or airport. I also bite my nails otherwise. My husband – The Hero – would probably have a lot more to add to my list of stressors but that’s the reason he doesn’t have admin rights here.

And my pet peeve? The blog is called Simbly Bored not Simply Bored. There’s a south Indian emphasis. Please adjust!

  • Sam (garu..!! )

I have been following ur blog for about 3 yrs now… and for me its like an experience of seeing an older sister grow, get restless before marriage and finally getting married and almost settling down in life. Its a rare glimpse of a mature woman’s heart. (I am one of those guys without female influence in life whatsoever but luckily not a MCP).
    In simple two words “U rock” !..! … plz continue blogging… :)

P.S.: Don’t bother about taking a look at my blog… it sucks in comparison to yours, and moreover I stopped writing on it about 2 yrs ago….

  • I am annoyed with people who seem to chide me! (and hence act as if they know better ALWAYS!) :)
