This week went by fairly quickly in The Goddess household and understandably so since we were just done with the most expensive week of the year The Birthday and Anniversary week. (Seven years!)
What does one talk about on a Friday afternoon, anyway? How about a bit of Lewis Carrol?
“You are old, Father William,” the young man said,
“And your hair has become very white;
And yet you incessantly stand on your head—
Do you think, at your age, it is right?”
“In my youth,” Father William replied to his son,
“I feared it might injure the brain;
But now that I’m perfectly sure I have none,
Why, I do it again and again.”
Or a video I was a bit late discovering (or maybe discovering at the perfect time):
Some “Tuesday Inspiration” or back-handed fat shaming from Elle India:
Some interesting reads:
Wired says Facebook and Instagram are making us happier. Do you agree? I don’t but that’s the subject of another post altogether 🙂
10 surprisingly viral TED talks. There goes my weekend reading… Since our TV’s conked out, we’re relying on Youtube for entertainment.
I wanted to blog about Indian Twitteratti’s glorious reaction to Virat Kohli’s err… performance but someone’s done it already. A nice read from Drishti.co
Only on Slashdot can we have an article titled “Robobug: Scientists Clad Bacterium With Graphene To Make a Working Cytobot” and not have to explain what most of those things are. I have no clue what a Cytobot is. (ducks under chair)
Finally, I <3 Stephen Colbert. I wanted to post the video about the GOP’s stance on climate change but what the hell, it’s a Friday. Enjoy Pizza Hut’s mind-reading menu:
Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂 See you back on Monday with more nonsense.
